The Seven Stars in Beckbury near Shifna has recently been taken over and refurbished by a local group Craft & Jam. POD were given the task of supplying and installing the new main central bar area with new units and shelving.

POD Stainless Steel Products Ltd were recently designed, manufactured and installed a new stainless steel extraction canopy system for Bicester College training kitchen. Fresh air input was also installed to provide sufficient make up air.

POD Ltd were recently employed to fully refurbish a Coventry Pizza shop. The refurbishment included the installation of high quality new floor, wall and ceiling finishes. New stainless steel extraction canopy systems were then manufactured and installed with new cooking equipment including a top of the range high speed pizza oven. The scheme was completed with the installation of front of house counters manufactured from stainless steel with painted Mdf fascia panels and granite work surfaces.

Robinson's Butchers and Deli, located on the High Street in the prestigious area of Tettenhall Wolverhampton. POD Ltd were commissioned to refurbish the kitchen area of the butchers. A new extraction canopy system was installed complete with new gas safety equipment and interlock. New stainless steel units were manufactured including a hot cupboard with a heated gantry and tables. New cooking equipment was installed including a new Rational combination oven. The new kitchen will provide the required facilities to service the new Bistro style restaurant opening shortly at the butchers. 

POD Ltd were commissioned as part of the major refurbishment programme at The Black Boy Inn near Aylesbury to install a new kitchen ventilation system and update the gas supply. A new stainless steel extraction canopy 5700mm in length was manufactured and installed along with an input system to provide make up air. A new gas safety system was installed along with a new gas manifold. The equipment was re-installed, tested and commissioned.

P.O.D Stainless Steel Products were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a new food service counter.

The counter was installed at the Ashorne Hill Management Centre near Leamington Spa which is currently managed by Jaguar Land Rover.

The centre offers management and leadership development along with conferencing facilities to a wide range of the Tata companies.

The counter was manufactured with a stainless steel box section frame for added strength, then timber laminated fascia panels were fitted.

The counter was then finished with solid granite tops with drop in refrigerated units, heated glass top unit and ambient section.

Another successful installation of a new stainless steel extraction canopy with wall cladding (shown partially covered with stainless steel protective film) at Goldendale Nursing Home Stoke. Everything is now ready for the equipment to be installed and commissioned.

The kitchen at Staffordshire Golf Club was in need of upgrading to conform with the latest ventilation and gas safety regulations and POD Stainless Steel Products was selected to create a new kitchen.

A new kitchen extraction canopy system including fresh air make up, stainless steel wall cladding and gas safety interlock system were installed along with a new Blue Seal salamander grill.

Fresh air was introduced into the kitchen via ceiling mounted 4-way diffuser louvres.

A new S & S Norther gas safety panel was installed with current sensors to monitor the operation of the extract fan motor and air input motor.

The completed installation modernised the kitchen and conformed to the very latest safety standards.

Installation of a new kitchen ventilation system and equipment fitted in the newly extended restaurant site at the famous Austin Roses Centre in Albrighton near Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

The new extraction system was installed along with balanced fresh air make up. Stainless steel wall cladding was fitted to enable easy cleaning.

Equipment installed included a Lincat/Rational combination steaming oven and Blue Seal Fryer Range and Salamander grill.

A new stainless steel pass through hot cupboard was manufactured by POD and installed with 2-tier heated gantry and ambient plate section.

The whole project included white rock wall cladding and new safety flooring.

As part of their expansion program at Heathrow airport, P.O.D were again commissioned to design, manufacture and install all the required stainless steel extraction systems for the various kitchen and auxiliary areas including:

• The development kitchen section
• The dish wash sections
• Pot wash section
• Cold kitchen section
• Hot kitchen sections.

The specification was very demanding and included stainless steel support frames for the Hot kitchen main Island canopy and wall canopy. An air tempering system was also installed to provide filtered heated fresh air input to maintain a clean and healthy environment in the kitchen.

The main island canopy was 9000mm x 4000mm x 600mm and weight nearly 1-ton in weight. It was designed and manufactured in 8-sections, each section fitting exactly in the specifically designed and assembled frame support. 

The wall canopy was 9000mm X 1500mm X 600mm and was also supported from a specifically designed and installed end frame support system and included full rear wall cladding.

The development kitchen canopy was installed complete with full wall cladding in the room to provide the highest standards of hygiene in a sensitive area where all the menus are developed, tested and trialled. 

P.O.D Stainless Steel Products Ltd were asked as part of their various other works at the new Harleys Smoke House Function Room scheme, part of the Dunsley Hall Estate Kinver to design and install a new cocktail bar facility. The bar was constructed using designer linen materials and timber for the fascia and stainless steel for the rear bar fittings. A 30mm Granite bar top was installed to add the finishing touches. The rear bar fittings included ice chests, glass storage units, blender stations and sink units. Multi-tier acrylic shelving was specially made to display a variety of cocktail ingredient bottles.

A new and interesting addition to the P.O.D. Ltd Group. A new catering trailer fully refurbished to provide quality take away food at a site on the A5 near Hinckley, full details and launch date to be revealed soon. 

The trailer will be fitted with the latest equipment to provide quality food and beverages. Stainless steel units will be installed along with full wall cladding and hand wash facilities to ensure the highest standards are maintained and to achieve a Hygiene rating of 5. The new service site will also be equipped with customer toilet and wash facilities.

In partnership once again with Overbury PLC, POD Ltd were commissioned to design, manufacture and install new kitchen equipment and catering facilities.

The design remit was to provide a facility that would provide meals for up to 300 pupils. To help achieve this, new cooking equipment was installed to include:-

Rational 20-grid combination oven, 6-burner ranges and stock pot burners. A new extraction canopy system was installed complete with tempered fresh air input.

To provide correct room ventilation and environment.

New stainless steel food preparation tables were installed along with sink units and hand wash facilities.

New food service counters were installed to provide efficient service facilities.

A new Dawson Commander dish washer was installed complete with a heat recovery system to provide running cost savings of up to 30% and reduce the steam output.

New stainless steel dish wash processing tables were installed complete with pre-rinse bowl with spray arm.

A new stainless steel extraction canopy manufactured by POD Stainless Steel Products Ltd in our own Wolverhampton based factory was recently installed at Tan Y Bwlch station on the Ffestiniog railway line in North Wales. Complete with removable stainless steel baffle filters for easy maintenance and cleaning, the unit included a CA400 cased axial fan motor with new ducting and cowl. The new ducting was linked to the existing gas safety interlock panel using an internally mounted pressure sensing switch. Full test and maintenance information was supplied on completion. 

The work was completed in one day, and with an ‘early-doors’ start ensuring very little disruption to the restaurant facility located at a busy station on the railway line. The frequent passing trains encouraged the POD team to operate at ‘full steam’ to deliver the project exactly to timetable! 

Moorhayes Community Centre is a local community centre that is the hub of life and activities in Tiverton centre.

To improve facilities a new kitchen was installed to provide the local community that uses the centre with hot food and catering facilities. The centre has a large hall that can host functions, weddings and parties. The addition of the kitchen increases the centre’s facilities to enhance the local community services.

Prior to installing the kitchen equipment all electrical and mechanical services were fitted, white rock hygienic wall and ceiling cladding was fixed and Altro safety flooring installed.

Kitchen equipment included a new stainless steel ventilation canopy system complete with fresh air make up system. The canopy was fitted with removable baffle filters and flush LED lighting.

A new S&S Norther 1250 gas interlock panel was installed with solenoid which ensures that the ventilation system is operating before allowing the gas to be switched on.

A new hot cupboard with 2-tier heated pass through gantry, keeps plated food warm prior to service and a refrigerated chef’s counter was fitted with ambient gantry for siting microwaves.

New Lincat/Rational CM101 electric combination steaming oven were installed complete with a new Lincat Opus 6-burner oven range.

New Dawson Commenda dish washer installed complete with integrated water softener and detergent and rinse aid pumps. A stainless steel condensate capture hood was installed above the dishwasher to prevent condensation build up. Designed and manufactured by P.O.D Stainless Ltd a new stainless steel dish wash dirties inlet table complete with bowl and pre-spray arm and a stainless steel dish wash cleans outlet table with basket storage runners was fitted.

Food service equipment comprising mobile food service counters with a Carvery style section with hot cupboard, Bain Marie, heated plate dispenser and heat lamp gantry, plus a further hot cupboard section with Bain Marie and heat lamp gantry.

Both units were manufactured by P.O.D Stainless Ltd and fitted with timber cladding fascia panels ready to be stained to match the new bar section when installed.

Eurofins based on the new i54 business park Wolverhampton alongside Jaguar and Moog. Eurofins is a worldwide company that tests food samples and food products from many of the world’s leading food manufacturers, supermarkets and local authorities.

P.O.D Ltd were commissioned to manufacture and install new Bosch cooking equipment, stainless steel worktops and stainless steel ventilation canopy systems. Due to the sensitive nature of the site P.O.D Ltd successfully completed the full installation, testing and commissioning of the works working tirelessly over the weekend, leaving the site ready to start work on Monday morning. Another successful indication of the flexibility and desire to exceed our customer’s expectations. 

A brand new concept Gourmet fish and chip shop take away with attached restaurant is being opening at the recently refurbished Island House in Wolverhampton. Designed and managed by the owner Mr Andy Colleja the entire project is being specified and delivered to an extremely high standard.

POD were commissioned to design and install new extraction canopy systems in the rear food preparation kitchen section and in the front shop area.

POD also manufactured new dish wash tables and installed a new Maidaid dish washer with a heat recovery unit.

The food preparation area had stainless steel wall cladding fitted prior to the installation of the new extraction canopy systems.

New ducting including heated fresh air input was installed on the roof area.

A new Rational Combination oven was installed below rear kitchen extraction and ventilation canopy and new Kebab machines and Synergy Grill were installed below the front shop canopy.

To complete the kitchen, a new Maidaid dish washer was installed with heat recovery system to save up to 25% power on running costs. The dishwasher station was completed with a new inlet table with bowl and spray arm and a basket storage section together with a dirties table with basket storage section. 

POD Ltd recently designed, manufactured and installed a new ventilation canopy in a new fish and chip shop in Wednesfield, West Midlands. The new system included extraction with a carbon filtration system for effective odour control, along with a pre- filter section to remove grease. The system also included a fresh air input system to improve the shop working environment for staff and customers. A top valance was fitted to the top of the canopy to marry up with the suspended ceiling when installed. 

To the rear of the cooking equipment full stainless steel wall cladding was fitted to give a clean modern look to the facility with the benefit of its easy clean finish.

On the roof of the building the extract ducting on the roof comprises a pre-filter section, carbon filters, contra flow fan motor together with silencers. All sections were mounted on anti-vibration feet to reduce noise. Duct inspection hatches were fitted in various areas to aid deep cleaning of the ducting.

The ventilation system was completed with fresh air input ducting on the roof including a fan motor with silencers and an input air filter section, all mounted on anti-vibration feet.

POD were recently commission to refurbish an old Citroen H frame van and convert it into a food outlet unit. Once completed the van is to be sited in the grounds of Worcester Parks to offer walkers refreshments from a uniquely styled food outlet.

The van itself was imported in a very poor state and was sent to a local body shop to be repaired and sprayed ready to have the interior fitted out to the customer’s exact requirements

The van interior was lined with timber cladding and stainless steel cupboards and worktop with inset bowls were designed and installed together with a food service counter.

A refrigerated display unit, fridges and drink machines were added to provide cooled drinks and food.

The unique finished unit is all ready to be set up on site in Worcester Parks ready to start service.

When the Ffestiniogh Railway decided to construct a new restaurant to serve the Ffestiniogh railway centre in Portmadogh, Wales POD Stainless was selected to design and manufacture a large stainless steel extraction canopy and extraction system. The photographs show the large canopy and ducting sections under construction in the POD factory and when complete it will be installed in the new restaurant ready for the new visitor season and keeping the steam outside where it belongs!

The unit will soon be transported and installed in the railway kitchen.

The large new kitchen extraction canopy designed and manufactured for the Ffestiniogh Railway in Portmadogh at POD Stainless Steel's factory in Wolverhampton has now been installed.

The unit is fitted above new Blue Seal cooking equipment and a Rational Combination oven to serve the railway's food outlet.

As well as complete kitchen installations POD Stainless manufactures a range of free standing kitchen stations such as those produced for St Thomas Primary Cambridge.  The two units included a stainless steel scrapping table (left) with over shelf to assist in speedy dirty dish processing. On the food service side a new stainless steel wall table has been manufactured with two drawers including removable 1/1Gn liners for ambient food holding.

As part of the refurbishment and general improvements at the Ffestiniogh railway centre in Portmadogh, Wales, POD Stainless Steel Products has produced and installed a modern new stainless steel and glass entrance balustrade. 

POD Stainless were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a new kitchen ventilation system to include kitchen extraction and tempered air input tgogether with the installation of a new Rational SCC101 combination oven at Prestfelde Preparatory School Shrewsbury. At the same time the gas supply was modified to comply with the latest gas council regulations, this included a full gas interlock with the ventilation fans and gas supply, new gas pipe manifold with new hoses, new service containment spine and riser.

New roof mounted fan motors associated with the new extraction canopy system and tempered input air canopy installed at the prestigious Prestfelde School Shrewsbury. Included new ducting sections that were powder coated black to blend with the surrounding environment.The extraction section included a JM56 fan motor with silencers, all mounted on anti-vibration feet to minimise noise. The input section included a 450 contra rotating cased axial fan motor with silencers. Included in the input system was an electrically powered air tempering unit to heat the make up air being introduced into the kitchen, all designed to make the working environment more comfortable. 

We love a challenge at POD Stainless, so designing a kitchen to be installed inside a race horse trailer was an opportunity not to be missed! The trailer was converted to suit the customer’s exact requirements, to provide cooked food and drinks at street food events, festivals and functions.

Fittings included gas griddle, gas hob, gas water boiler, hand wash basin and shelving units. For the glorious, hot forthcoming summer an extraction canopy was added together with a roof fan.

POD Stainless manufactured a custom size 4 tier dry store racking system which has been installed at High Arcle Primary school Dudley. Custom designed racking arrangements maximise the utilisation of storage space in busy kitchen stores.

Installed with the latest Dawson dishwasher at Coombe Abbey, POD Stainless have designed and manufactured a series of bespoke tables including ‘dirties’ inlet table with bowl and spray arm and incorporating a scraps chute. At the outlet side of the dishwashing station a roller table and end stop switch are incorporated. The whole custom dishwasher station installation is produced in stainless steel and serves to speed up the dishwashing process and maximise restaurant service throughput. 

POD Stainless have recently completed the installation of new kitchen extraction canopy system at The Tin Hat, a Marstons brewery site, in Hinckley. The installation included new stainless steel extraction canopy, fresh air input ducting and vents together with gas safety equipment. 

POD Stainless manufactured and installed a new heated pass gantry at the superb new Harleys Smoke House restaurant, located at Dunsley Hall Hotel, Kinver as part of a complete kitchen re-fit. The large capacity heated gantries enable Gastronorn food service containers to be kept hot prior to table service.

In the kitchen are new dish washer and bespoke fabricated stainless steel tables designed and manufactured by POD Stainless. These kitchen facilities provide efficient facilities for dirty crockery clearance and cleaning together with effective waste management. 

The kitchen was completed with a new stainless steel ventilation system. The ventilation system includes air extraction together with fresh air input. Gas safety equipment was updated and complemented by the installation of new revolutionary Synergy Grills manufactured by Berco.

A new custom coffee and food service counter has been manufactured for Shrewsbury Guild Hall and is shown prior to delivery and installation in this magnificent old building.

Fascia panels will be fitted to the front of the counter on site, then refrigerated units will be installed along with fridges and a new coffee machine. Stainless steel storage counter units with solid block oak top have been incorporated together with a lowered counter section for wheel chair access. 

When Christ the King primary school in Leicester needed a kitchen upgrade, POD Stainless was selected to complete the project. The ventilation was upgraded with the installation of a new extraction canopy complete with a low pressure water (LPW) heated fresh air input system.

The kitchen was completed with the installation of a new 20-grid rational combination oven, new sink units and dish washer.

The kitchen ventilation system at the Peepo restaurant in Bridgnorth was sadly in need of replacement, so POD Stainless were selected to design, manufacture and install the new stainless steel ductwork on the roof replacing the aging galvanised steel predecessor. The new installation included extraction ducting incorporating silencers to reduce noise output and carbon filters to reduce odour emissions. 

The Milton Keynes Juice Bar project is being completed in the factory ready for installation. This project shows the typical construction of stainless steel box section frame ready to have Corian worktops and fascia panels fitted.

In addition polycarbonate containers on stainless steel runners will be used to store fresh fruit and produce and a stainless steel cupboard with shelves for storage.

Contracted by Overbury PLC POD Stainless have manufactured, supplied and installed a full kitchen to Rugby Free School.

Included in the kitchen installation are two Rational combination ovens (model SCC101), Lincat Opus electric ranges and fryer.

A full ventilation system was fabricated including tempered fresh air input. The installation was completed with fridges and freezers, vegetable preparation equipment, dish wash facilities with pot wash sink unit.

The stainless steel food service counters were completed with the addition of Bain Marie units and hot cupboards plus a chilled display unit.

POD Stainless have recently completed a complete upgrade of Park Lane Business and Community Centre Woodside Telford kitchen.

A new Blue Seal Turbo fan oven and Lincat Induction hob were installed as part of the kitchen upgrade. POD designed, manufactured and installed stainless steel stands and tables and together with the custom stainless steel air extraction canopy system.

New POD stainless steel food service counters were also installed including a heated deli unit, a refrigerated deli unit and a hot cupboard.

To complete the project a Maidaid stainless steel commercial dish washer on stainless steel stand with water softener were included.

As well as completing the bar refurbishment POD Stainless have now added a new stainless steel balustrade rails fitted to create a new outside drinking area at Kingswinford Snooker Club.

316 stainless steel tubular posts with base plates secured using resin bond fixings hold 10mm toughened glass panels held in place by glass clips. The area is completed with a gate section with hinges and catch creating a modern clean outdoor seating area.

When the Vale of Evesham School Residential Kitchen needed an urgent upgrade they called on POD Stainless to complete the work. 

A new Lincat 6-burner range complete with new stainless steel extraction canopy and wall cladding plus new fresh air input system and the latest gas safety equipment was installed with minimal disruption in a single day.

The stainless steel ventilation system and cladding were manufactured by POD Stainless at their Wolverhampton plant.

When South Staffordshire Sailing Club Gailey were looking to upgrade their catering facilities they contacted POD Stainless. A new kitchen air extraction canopy system with fresh air input was installed together with a new 6-burner stainless steel commercial kitchen range complete with the latest gas safety interlock equipment.

The Kingswinford Snooker Club bar has been completely refurbished. New bar equipment and back bar fittings have been manufactured and installed by POD Stainless together with a new bar front with polished granite bar worktops.

Design, manufacture and installation of another new carvery style food service counter installed at the Shady Oak, Tarporley, Cheshire providing superb new facility for the Shady Oak's customers.

Part of the huge renovation and improvements to The Wergs Golf Club are the club’s catering facilities. The new catering facilities enable the Chef to cater for large parties, functions, weddings etc.

The custom built stainless steel extraction canopy was installed with new Rational and Hobart combination ovens below, new dish wash facilities with tables and a new Dawson Commenda pass through machine.

The kitchen was finished with a new sink unit and food preparation unit.

When Charlies Plaice Coventry decided to refurbish their Preston Thomas chip frying range they turned to POD Stainless who have a real expertise in bringing these installations back to their original condition, but with the addition of the latest controals and of course new wiring.

The refurbished range includde new pans, new fascia panels and new rear panels. The whole refurbishment was completed with the minimum amount of disruption.

Holding 100 fully plated meals on a heated double pass gantry was the design brief for POD Stainless to design a custom unit for the Best Western Tillington Hall Hotel in Stafford. 

The fully installed unit provides the capability of holding over 100 plated meals keeping them at optimum temperature prior to banquet service.

When the Butts Primary School Walsall were looking for kitchen improvements they choose Churchill Catering Services Ltd who commissioned POD Stainless to provide new mobile counters and mobile Bain Marie unit with low energy Led light gantry together with new ambient counter sections and a new polar chilled well unit with Led light gantry. The counter fronts were colour coordinated to the client's requirements.

When Aspire Free School Worcester were looking to renew their school kitchen facility, Worcester Council choose Overbury plc who subcontracted the kitchen equipment provision to POD Stainless.

The new kitchen and food service facilities included a new Bain Marie food counter, new dish wash facilities together with mobile cutlery and condiments counter all fabricated by POD Stainless Steel to meet the precise kitchen requirements.

POD Stainless have recently completed a new commercial kitchen installation for Overbury plc based at Fort Dunlop on behalf of their client Quilter Cheviot. The kitchen services their 8^th floor staff in Snow Hill 2, Birmingham City Centre.

The kitchen installation utilises Lincat light duty cooking equipment, Maidaid dish washer and ice maker, with kitchen furniture, work surfaces, refrigerator, oven, extraction equipment, sinks etc. custom designed and built by POD Stainless Steel Fabrication.

The Stags Head Penn, a Marston’s Brewery pub needed upgraded kitchen extraction ducting. POD Stainless designed, produced and installed the compact round duct system to provide a state of the art kitchen ventilation system.

POD Stainless was commissioned by Landau Forte Academy Greenacres Tamworth, to refurbish their school kitchen including the modification of the air extraction canopy to enable installation of new cooking equipment.

Moorlands Primary School West Bromwich, commissioned the installation of a new stainless steel school kitchen extraction canopy system and stainless steel ductwork together with a new Rational Combi-oven. The custom ductwork system was designed, manufactured and installed by POD Stainless.

A Costa Coffee outlet was designed into the New College Redditch Campus, but needed to be located in an open area. POD Stainless designed, manufactured and installed a custom designed coffee shop based on a modular design.

Although the units create fully bespoke units, the design provides a cost effective modular solution which can be configured to fit any spare areas as required. Services are not a problem as wastes can be pumped and electrical distribution boards installed for power. Stainless steel fittings are incorporated into the design to provide an easy maintenance coffee preparation and customer service area.

The modular coffee shop could be easily taken apart and moved to another site or location if required.

The modular design incorporates all round locking roller shutters, so the units can be installed in areas that are open to the public when the coffee shop is close.

POD Stainless were selected for another commercial kitchen installation by the Staffordshire Alliance, The first fix for project at Chebsey Lane, Stafford has now been completed.

First fix comprised the installation of stainless steel wall cladding and extraction canopy. The remaining commercial kitchen equipment will be installed after second fix electrics are completed by POD Stainless. This project is another example of POD Stainless Steel Products’ design, manufacturing, installation and project management expertise in commercial kitchen projects.

POD Stainless are enormously experienced at refurbishing commercial fish and chip shop frying equipment. This project included the complete refurbishment of the Preston Thomas chip frying range used by Chicken King in Coventry.

This project included new fascia panels and rear panels which change the look and feel of the entire premises creating a smart new look and feel. A complete re-wire of the range was completed and new pans added.

POD Stainless have designed and installed a new commercial kitchen extraction canopy with fresh air input for The George Hotel (Best Western) in Lichfield.

The new system installed into the existing hotel kitchen has an external ventilation stack.

To complete the project new twin stacked Lainox combination ovens were installed together with a gas safety interlock.

The complete project was designed, planned, manufactured and installed by the POD Stainless team.

POD Stainless was selected by its client Eatsmart Educatering to design, manufacture and install a food production kitchen in Malvern. The commercial kitchen will produce meals to be delivered to up to ten schools in the local area.

The installation was completed on time and to budget and included a variety of stainless steel kitchen equipment including Rational ovens, a walk in cold room and a commercial food mixer. The complete installation included electrical work and gas safety interlock equipment.

A major refurbishment project has been planned for Womborne Pool Bar. POD Stainless Steel Products designed and produced a stainless rear bar area and a redesigned front bar section.

The project from design to installation was to be of the highest quality including bar features such as solid granite tops, stainless steel rear bar units to include glass storage shelving, speed front rails, bin storage area and ice storage chest inset into counter tops.
