Prestfelde Preparatory School Shrewsbury
POD Stainless were commissioned to design, manufacture and install a new kitchen ventilation system to include kitchen extraction and tempered air input tgogether with the installation of a new Rational SCC101 combination oven at Prestfelde Preparatory School Shrewsbury. At the same time the gas supply was modified to comply with the latest gas council regulations, this included a full gas interlock with the ventilation fans and gas supply, new gas pipe manifold with new hoses, new service containment spine and riser.
New roof mounted fan motors associated with the new extraction canopy system and tempered input air canopy installed at the prestigious Prestfelde School Shrewsbury. Included new ducting sections that were powder coated black to blend with the surrounding environment.The extraction section included a JM56 fan motor with silencers, all mounted on anti-vibration feet to minimise noise. The input section included a 450 contra rotating cased axial fan motor with silencers. Included in the input system was an electrically powered air tempering unit to heat the make up air being introduced into the kitchen, all designed to make the working environment more comfortable.
